- Hard of hearing since birth and uses sign language, though he's capable of speech, and is capable of hearing relatively well with hearing aids
- Was in a serious car accident when he was 6, but survived
- Had to have his arm and leg amputated, and now has bionic replacement limbs
- Still has some chronic pain issues that stops him from being as active as he'd like
- Homeschooled as a result, at least as kid
- Wants to be a cop and/or superhero when he grows up
- Frustrated he may not be able to because of health issues
- Admires androids because he considers one of them to have saved his life
- Likes heavy metal because he can feel the vibrations even without hearing aids
- Smart and capable
- Really intent on proving his independence and capabilities (sometimes at the expense of his well-being/pain)

- As default I go with Hank being a single dad, but if you have headcanons for Cole's mom, I am way on-board
